This was a school excursion thing that was just mostly for fun
i departed on tuesday at 5am with all my clothes, sleeping bag, pillow (i love my pillow), and ski gear already on. We arrived there at like 8 30am or something for the first train up through perisher and then we went up to mt. bluecow, nice place to ski in australia
the first day was good but everything was a bit choppy and icey due to a low level of snowfall this year, worst in 30 years. The choppyness of the snow made me feel like i was in the mougals and took its toll on me with me having a fall on zali's (double blue run) on the last run of the day, injuring my chin which EVERYONE got to make stupid comments on... such as 'do you realise you hurt your chin?'.. lol ohwell
the second day was good, i had a swish ski instructor which i picked up on straight away as he pronounced things with a cool accent
the third day was the best day with a very good snowfall during the day up to about 2pm. The temperature, weather and visibility was absolutely crap but the snow and skiing was great which is a sacrifise im willing to make anytime. We had the same instructor on the third day, Ido, who showed us places to ski that had almost noone there and they were a lot less windy, almost no wind and great snow. the third day was just a good day, i got to spoil myself with hot chocolates and cake and do lots of really good skiing. Brenton and I skiied around with a couple other people on the third day, Ben, Ally and Shawna. We did a few easier runs for Shawna (first timer), who fell over a bit
Overall the trip was good, despite the lower ammount of snow and the fact that the year 11's with us sucked
Cant wait for the ski season next year, and I might just be feeling a little inspired to do a little bit art on the ski trip, unfortuantly i didn't get to do any photography like i had planned but hey! thats because i was having too good of a time to care about it!
